RUBI celebrates 75 years of innovation with new solutions for large format

This year, RUBI celebrates 75 years of history under the slogan of "75 years transforming the future together". Its origin dates back to 1951, with the invention of the first manual cutter in the world, baptized as RUBI. The tool was created by the Boada brothers to respond to a real need of the masons of the time, who cut the hydraulic mosaic by scratching it with an awl and giving a sharp blow.

That solution marked the beginning of a trajectory based on quality, proximity to the user and the constant development of solutions capable of transforming work on site. 75 years later, RUBI has established itself as an international benchmark in tools for cutting and installing ceramics, maintaining the same spirit that drove its birth: listening to the professional and anticipating the challenges of the sector.

At Cersaie 2026, the company reinforces this vision with a clear commitment to large formats, a trend in full evolution that requires not only precise and efficient cutting tools, but also specific solutions for the handling, transport and safe placement of large parts.

Among the main novelties that RUBI will present is the new TC-125 G2 ENERGY CAS, a cordless cutting tool that allows you to work with formats and dimensions that are impossible to tackle with a standard manual cutter. It is the first battery-powered circular cutter developed for the cutting and installation of large-format ceramics.

Also within the range of solutions for large formats, RUBI presents the SLAB CUTTER G5 ENERGY, a modular cutter with battery-powered vacuum suction cups that guarantees fast, stable and precise fixing of the guide on the tile. For large-format handling, RUBI completes its range of suction cups with the new OCTO GRIP, a premium category product that offers an ultra-secure grip even on the roughest surfaces.

With these new developments, RUBI celebrates its 75th anniversary by looking to the future and reaffirming its commitment to innovation, developing solutions that add value to the daily work of professionals and contribute to creating better spaces.
