Built in 1850, this Georgian-style ancient house is located high in the tranquil Surrey countryside – county of southeast England – enhanced by the striking view of the hilly landscape.
The building, recently renovated, is part of a prestigious residential project that includes, besides the historical residence, 6 new apartments too. The mansion, surrounded by an enchanting garden, is on two levels: a ground floor with kitchen, living area, dining room and bathroom, and an upper floor with three bedrooms – all with en suite bathrooms – walk-in wardrobe, utility room and storage.
The design is mainly based on classic-modern furniture that gives a warm and cozy atmosphere to every room of the house. The high-quality furnishings, signed Alivar, present in fact a practicality and purity of shape typical of contemporary design, besides the sophisticated inspiration of the evergreen complements.
In the large living area, the big sofas and poufs Portofino stand out in the space. The small rectangular table Poggio, with its elegant top made of light marble, completes the design of the room that is colored with neutral tones such as beige and dove grey.
In the dining room, the soft seats Diva surround the large table Board, which has a structured and symmetrical design and a marble top, while the two sideboards Side Up enclose an exclusive bar unit with drawers and shelves.
In order to match the hypermodern style of the kitchen, the stools Kiron with polycarbonate seat was chosen. Thanks to the gas mechanism of the chromed steel structure, this stool can be adjusted in height and totally rotated.
On the upper floor including the sleeping area, the master bedroom accommodates the bed Arca, with a stitched pattern on the headboard that recreates a pleasing capitonné effect, and the bedside table Meridien, with small flush-handles.
The relaxing armchair Fortuna completes the space. There is also a horse version in the veranda next to the garden.
Finally, you can find the bed Maya, with its large headboard, slightly soften and rounded at the sides just like embracing the structure. Together with the bedside Kube (with handles and tops covered in leather), Maya was selected to make a room unique.
These prestigious interiors are accompanied by a minimalist and modern lighting technology and a set of distinguishing finishes – starting from the one of the ceiling – which lend a refined and exclusive look to all spaces.
