Zimbali Coastal Estate: a dialogue between technique and luxury

On the north east coast of South Africa, in the KwaZulu Natal nature reserve and overlooking the Indian Ocean, there is the Zimbali Coastal Estate with its private residential complexes, holiday homes and tourist resorts built respecting South African culture and nature. A private residence stands out over the others thanks to the modern and contemporary architecture (resembling Californian villas) designed by the South African architecture studio Masterworx.

For the vertical coverings (an essential part of the project), the poolside and terrace flooring, they selected RhinowoodTM, a decking exclusively distributed in Europe by Ravaioli Legnami, which lends a glamorous touch with its aesthetics.

Rhinowood™ is one of the flagship products offered by the company for its exceptional durability and dimensional stability. These characteristics are the result of the innovative and patented manufacturing process of impregnation with a special mix of waxes that gives pine the typical features of exotic woods. In addition, Rhinowood ™ maintenance is fast and cheap: as the wood becomes gray, to restore it to its original aesthetics, just use a pressure washer to clean floorings or coatings.

Rhinowood™ is a sustainable alternative to traditional exotic woods offered by Ravaioli Legnami: it does not contain toxins or other volatile organic compounds and is produced using pine from sustainably managed forests.
