The new Schwaketenbad in Constance is considered the largest sports and family pool on Lake Constance. The location is steeped in history, as the old Schwaketenbad, built on the same site in the 1980s, fell victim to a major fire in 2015. Behnisch Architekten realised an extensive bathing landscape of 10,000 m² in a large new building with a sculpturally folded roof.
The KeraShape and KeraTwin systems made it possible to integrate the more than 60 metres high building into its urban environment with both self-confidence and respect.
For the facade of the new building, Diezinger Architekten chose tiles from the Agrob Buchtal system KeraTwin K20 in the elegant rectangular format of 15 x 75 centimetres.
The idea of flowing transitions in a two-storey bathing and sauna landscape was skilfully implemented not least with tiles from the brands Agrob Buchtal and Jasba.

In contrast to conventional high-rise towers this building, designed by the local WOHA office, impressively combines nature and architecture, both inside and out.
