Iris Ceramica Group has announced its collaboration with the MIT Technology Review in the The Green Future Index 2022

MIT Technology Review is the most prestigious international periodical dealing with technology and innovation. As the most important university and research center in the world, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Boston) was founded it in 1899. The prestigious analysis classifies 76 countries and territories according to their progress and their commitment for a greener future. The evaluation examines how these countries reduce carbon emissions and develop clean energy and green innovations. This project will help shape the future of a global green economy.

Iris Ceramica Group is a partner of this important global analysis project that underlines the company's commitment to an innovative R&D that has increased the sustainability of its production system.
We are proud to collaborate with MIT Technology Review in this worldwide analysis”, Federica Minozzi, CEO at Iris Ceramica Group commented. “Environmental sustainability has taken priority since the beginning, over 60 years ago, when our company started producing high-performance ceramic surfaces. We are convinced that ethics, technology and aesthetics must share a path along which they can mutually reinforce each other. This is why our ideas and innovations have often proved to be revolutionary in the ceramic industry. Today we are committed to creating a more sustainable world. This is an ambitious challenge, represented by the construction of our first ceramic plant designed to run on green hydrogen. The plant will be ready by the end of the year”.

Carbon neutrality by 2050 is a goal of the Group. Therefore, this collaboration is essential to communicate the importance of sustainability and the decarbonisation of production. Iris Ceramica Group’s collaboration with the MIT confirms its dedication to act for a more sustainable future, re-engineering ceramics and creating new cutting-edge production standards based on green technologies.
