Qatego by Duravit receives the Good Design Award

The Qatego bathroom furniture series designed by Studio F. A. Porsche for Duravit was awarded by the Chicago Athenaeum with the GOOD DESIGN® Award in the "Bathroom and accessories" category and published in the GOOD DESIGN 2023-2024 yearbook.

The collection focuses on natural materials with tactile surfaces such as wood, ceramic and natural stone. The designers conceived the sink and cabinet as both a practical and creative unit.

As Henning Rieseler, Design Director of Studio F. A. Porsche, says, “with Qatego we focused on the needs of people in the familiar and intimate environment of the bathroom. This is why it was important for us to give the elements a strong emotional quality that went beyond their functionality."

Great attention was also paid to the shape of the elements: while the furniture is linear and minimalist, the ceramics stand out for their rounded and welcoming shape for a “winning” result.
